Hi, I’m Ryan Moore. I’m a film composer drawn to cinema that explores American history and identity. Raised in Virginia, I’m inspired by its landscapes, people, and by the dignity, struggle, and resilience woven into the American story.

My music centers on orchestral writing, expressive strings, intimate piano, and atmospheric textures, crafted to serve the emotional core of a film. My scores are designed to feel inseparable from the picture, supporting character, place, and narrative with restraint and intention.

Of recent Irish and deep Italian descent, my work carries an inherited sense of old world lyricism. The emotional gravity of the Irish musical tradition and the expressive, narrative driven nature of Italian storytelling shape a musical voice that is timeless, human, and grounded in story.

Film music is more than accompaniment. It is the soul beneath the image.
